KICK & CARE Charity Day 2026 – Salmtalstadion to host the first edition
The charity event’s premiere takes place at the Salmtalstadion – a sporting home with regional appeal and the ideal setting for a day dedicated to football and social commitment.

Strong support from the Wittlich-Land municipal association
The premiere of the KICK & CARE Charity Day 2026 takes place at the Salmtalstadion – and it is a powerful example of what can happen when civic initiatives meet local authorities who are open and willing to help.
Special thanks go to the Verbandsgemeinde (municipal association) of Wittlich-Land, which has approached the event constructively, with a solution-oriented attitude and great openness from the very beginning.
Respectful dialogue as the foundation of cooperation
It all started with a conversation with state parliament member Dennis Junk, which led to a written project request to host the charity event at the Salmtalstadion.
The municipal association’s response was marked by a willingness to talk, genuine interest and a clear sense of social responsibility. Rather than a purely administrative review, one shared question was on the table from early on: How can this idea and the commitment behind it be made possible for the region?
An approach that makes the spirit of local responsibility visible.
Open to new community event formats
The KICK & CARE Charity Day is designed as a public charity event that brings together sport, families, volunteering, supported projects and social commitment.
The fact that such a format may celebrate its premiere at the Salmtalstadion also reflects the openness of the Wittlich-Land municipal association towards new projects with social added value. Its support shows that local authorities can be more than administrative structures – they can be enablers of social impact.
A positive signal for the whole municipality
Hosting the Charity Day creates not only an event for visitors but also a positive image for the entire region. After all, the charity event stands for:
- social cohesion
- volunteering
- family friendliness
- social responsibility
- regional identity
Values that the Wittlich-Land municipal association also actively represents and makes visible.
A partnership that sends a signal
The cooperation around the event planning is a prime example of how initiatives, clubs and local authorities can realise community projects together. The willingness to help, the open exchange and the solution-oriented support from the municipal association lay the foundation for turning an idea into a real place of encounter.
A partnership that makes impact possible.
A stadium becomes a stage for shared commitment
On the day itself, the Salmtalstadion becomes the centre of a full-day charity experience: with a charity football match as the main attraction, a family programme, presentations of the supported projects, partner involvement and countless moments of encounter.
That this format may celebrate its premiere in the Wittlich-Land municipal association gives the event special regional roots – and underlines the shared goal of actively living social responsibility.
Thanks as an expression of appreciation
KICK & CARE – Fußball hilft expressly thanks state parliament member Dennis Junk as the “door-opener”, mayor Manuel Follmann as the “enabler” on behalf of the Wittlich-Land municipal association as host, and in particular Mr Andreas Hofer for the open and constructive exchange, as well as all staff of the municipal association involved for their constructive support, their openness in dialogue and their willingness to make this social commitment possible.
This support cannot be taken for granted – it is a strong sign of shared local responsibility.
Looking ahead
With the venue confirmed, an important milestone for the successful premiere of the KICK & CARE Charity Day 2026 has been reached. At the same time, it marks the beginning of a partnership that can have an impact beyond the event day – for the region, for the supported projects and for the shared goal of doing good through sport.
Because when local authorities, initiatives and people work together, the result is more than an event: it becomes a movement.
