“Football helps. Together we move more.”
Movement. Encounters. Helping through play. On 13 June 2026, the KICK & CARE Charity Day celebrates its premiere at the Salmtalstadion in Salmtal-Salmrohr – a full day of football and activities for the whole family. The family festival runs from 10 am to 8 pm, and both the festival and the kids’ programme are free of charge.
Event highlight: 3:30 pm charity match with the Weisweiler Elf
A very special highlight is the charity match of the Weisweiler Elf – the legends team of Borussia Mönchengladbach. Named after legendary coach Hennes Weisweiler, the team brings together former Bundesliga professionals and international players who shaped top-flight German football for many years.
When these football greats take to the pitch together once more, it becomes far more than a match: emotions, memories and real closeness to the fans – all for a good cause. By taking part, they support the mission of KICK & CARE – Fußball hilft! and send a strong signal for social commitment, solidarity and the unifying power of football.
Streetsoccer U11 Charity & Fairness Cup
The Streetsoccer U11 Charity & Fairness Cup is one of the sporting cornerstones of the day, combining children’s football, values and social commitment in a unique way. At its heart is a modern street soccer tournament for under-11 teams, where goals are not the only thing that counts – fairness, team spirit and helping a good cause matter just as much.
XXL Human Kicker Family Charity & Fun Cup
One of the most emotional and active formats of the day: a fun tournament across the generations in which families themselves become part of the charity movement. It’s not about goals or league tables but about shared moments: grandparents, parents, children, uncles, aunts and cousins team up in a giant inflatable human table-football pitch – attached to the bars, full of team spirit, communication and plenty of laughter.
- 16 family teams in four groups, group stage and finals
- 5 vs 5, short 2-minute games
- no football experience or club membership needed
- Charity mechanics: €1 donated per goal, €0.10 per fair play point – doubled in the finals
- a medal for every player, a certificate for every family and a charity impact announcement: which family raises the most through goals and fair play?
Team ACT ROAR – taking responsibility together
Team ACT ROAR stands for sporting commitment with social impact. ACT stands for “Amateur Charity Team” – an over-40 amateur squad that wants to achieve something extraordinary together. As an active part of the Charity Day, the team embodies values such as community, cohesion, resilience and social commitment. Every effort on the pitch contributes to a bigger goal: raising awareness, generating donations and bringing help to where it’s needed.
ACT ROAR is more than a team – it’s commitment with meaning.
Food & drink – enjoyment meets charity
Culinary variety for young and old: the hospitality area turns the event grounds into a lively world of food and fun for the whole family – with food and drink stalls, baked goods and sweets, and cosy spaces to sit and meet. It is complemented by the official KICK & CARE merchandise stand and information stands from the projects we support, our partners and initiatives. Every purchase directly supports the charitable spirit of the event.
Enjoy, meet, help – together for a good cause.
